IP and Takedown Policy
Effective date: October 27, 2026
My Foreman Hates This is a trade name of Open Ledgers LLC. We take intellectual property seriously. Every design is screened before release, and we act quickly on complete complaints. This policy explains how to report a design you believe infringes your rights, and how we respond.
1. What You Can Report
- Copyright: a design or image that copies your original artwork, photograph, or text.
- Trademark: a design or listing that uses your trademark in a way likely to confuse buyers about who makes or endorses the product.
- Right of publicity: a design that uses your name, image, or likeness without permission.
2. How to Send a Notice
Email [email protected] with the subject line "IP Notice." Include:
- your name, organization (if any), mailing address, telephone number, and email address;
- a description of the copyrighted work, trademark (with registration number and country, if registered), or person whose rights you believe are infringed;
- the URL of each design or listing on myforemanhatesthis.com you are reporting;
- a statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the rights owner, its agent, or the law;
- a statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the rights owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf; and
- your physical or electronic signature.
For copyright claims, these items track the notice requirements of 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3). Knowingly false claims can create liability under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f).
3. What We Do
- We acknowledge complete notices, usually within 2 business days.
- We may disable or remove the reported design from the Site while we review it, without deciding that the claim is valid.
- We tell you what action we took. If we keep a design up, we explain why.
- We stop selling designs we conclude are infringing and cancel open orders for them.
4. Counter-Notices (Copyright)
If you posted content to the Site (for example, a review or photo) that was removed after a copyright notice and you believe the removal was a mistake, you may send a counter-notice to [email protected] containing: your contact information; identification of the removed material and where it appeared; a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief it was removed by mistake or misidentification; your consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or, if outside the United States, any judicial district in which we may be found) and to accept service from the person who sent the notice; and your signature. See 17 U.S.C. § 512(g)(3).
5. Repeat Infringers
We will terminate the ability to post content on the Site of any user who is the subject of repeated valid infringement notices.
6. Our Own Rights
My Foreman Hates This, Open Ledgers LLC, and their logos are our trademarks. Our listings, product photos, and human-written text are ours. To report a copy of our designs or listings elsewhere, email [email protected].
