Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 27, 2026
My Foreman Hates This is a trade name of Open Ledgers LLC, a Texas limited liability company ("My Foreman Hates This," "we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect through myforemanhatesthis.com (the "Site"), how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to the Site and to orders placed through it. Our Terms of Sale and Use and Shipping & Returns page also apply.
1. Information We Collect
Information you give us at checkout. When you buy something, our payment processor, Stripe, collects your name, email address, shipping address, phone number (if you provide one), and payment card details on its own secure checkout page. Your card number goes straight to Stripe. We never see it, and we do not store it.
Order records. For each order we keep the order number, the items, sizes and colors, prices, shipping charge, tax, total, payment status, the email address used at checkout, the fulfillment reference, and the carrier and tracking link. For a Foreman's Pick Box, we also keep a record of the designs and colors we picked for you. We do not keep your shipping address in our own order database. Stripe and our fulfillment partner, Printful, hold it because they need it to process payment and ship your order.
Optional account. You never need an account to buy; guest checkout is always available. If we offer an optional account and you choose to use it, you sign in with a one-time link sent to your email address. There is no password. Accounts run on Google Firebase Authentication, which stores your email address and sign-in records. When you are signed in, we use your verified email address to show your order history and, for Foreman's Pick Box orders, to try to avoid sending you a design you have already received from us.
Messages you send us. If you email us (for example, about an order, a defect claim, a design request, or an IP notice), we receive your email address, your message, and any photos or attachments you send.
Technical information. Like any website, our hosting provider receives standard technical data when your browser loads a page, such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested, and the time of the request. We use it only to deliver the Site, keep it secure, and prevent abuse (for example, limiting repeated checkout requests).
Information we do not collect. We do not ask for or knowingly collect sensitive personal data, such as government ID numbers, health information, precise location, or biometric data. We do not ask where you work or who your employer or foreman is.
2. Analytics and Advertising
The Site does not use analytics tools, advertising pixels, session recording, or cross-site tracking. We do not build advertising profiles, and we do not use your information for targeted advertising. If we ever add analytics, we will update this policy first.
3. Cookies and Browser Storage
We use only what the Site needs to work:
- Cart. Your cart, and the item for a "Buy now" checkout, are saved in your own browser's storage (local storage and session storage) so they survive page loads. Session storage is also used to show your order confirmation after checkout. This data stays on your device, and you can clear it at any time by clearing your browser data.
- Sign-in. If you use an account, Firebase Authentication stores a sign-in token in your browser so you stay signed in. Signing out removes it.
- Checkout. Stripe's checkout page sets its own cookies to process payment and prevent fraud. Stripe's privacy policy governs those.
- Security. Our hosting provider may set strictly necessary cookies to protect the Site from bots and attacks.
We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, so there is no cookie banner to manage. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but checkout and sign-in may not work without them.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use personal information to:
- process, fulfill, ship, and track your order;
- send order confirmations, shipping updates, and replies to your messages;
- handle cancellations, defect and misprint claims, lost-package claims, and refunds;
- run your optional account and show your order history;
- prevent fraud and abuse, and keep the Site secure;
- keep business, tax, and accounting records; and
- comply with the law and enforce our Terms.
We do not send marketing emails unless you ask to receive them.
5. Who We Share It With
We share personal information only with service providers that help us run the store, and only what each one needs:
| Provider | What it does for us | What it receives |
|---|---|---|
| Stripe | Payment processing and the hosted checkout page | Name, email, shipping and billing address, phone (if given), card details, order total |
| Printful | Printing, packing, and shipping your order | Name, shipping address, email, phone (if given), and the items ordered |
| Shipping carriers (through Printful) | Delivering your package | Name, shipping address, and tracking contact details |
| Google (Firebase) | Optional account sign-in by email link | Email address and sign-in records |
| Fastmail | Our email service, used to send order emails from [email protected] and to receive your messages at orders@ and [email protected] | Your email address and the content of emails |
| Cloudflare | Website hosting, our order database, and security | Standard technical request data and our order records |
These providers process information under their own privacy policies and security programs. We may also disclose information when the law requires it, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a sale, merger, or transfer of our business, in which case this policy continues to apply to the information transferred.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising.
6. Retention
- Order records are kept as long as needed to fulfill the order, handle claims and refunds, and meet tax and accounting requirements, generally 7 years after the order.
- Accounts remain until you ask us to close them. When you do, we delete your Firebase account. Order records tied to your email are kept for the period above.
- Emails you send us are kept as long as needed to resolve the matter and keep a record of it.
- Cart data stays in your browser until checkout or until you clear it.
Stripe and Printful keep the information they hold under their own retention rules.
7. Security
Payments are handled by Stripe, so card data never touches our systems. The Site is served only over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Access to our order database and service accounts is limited and protected with strong credentials. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify you if the law requires it after a breach.
8. Children
The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, email us and we will delete it.
9. Your Choices and Rights
Everyone. Wherever you live, you can email us to ask what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. We will respond within 45 days. We may need to confirm your identity by matching the email address on the order. We may keep information the law requires us to keep, such as tax records.
Texas residents. The Texas Data Privacy and Security Act generally does not apply to businesses that qualify as small businesses under U.S. Small Business Administration standards, and we currently qualify. We do not sell personal data, including sensitive data, and we honor the requests described above.
Residents of other states. Some states give residents specific privacy rights, such as the right to know, correct, delete, or opt out of the sale of personal data or targeted advertising. Whether those laws apply to us depends on thresholds such as business size and volume of data processed. Because we do not sell personal data or use it for targeted advertising, there is nothing to opt out of. You can make any request described above by email, and we will not treat you differently for making one.
10. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
The Site does not track you across other websites, so browser "Do Not Track" signals do not change how the Site works. We also honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as an opt-out of any sale or targeted-advertising sharing, which we do not do in any case.
11. Where Your Information Is Processed
We operate from the United States and ship only to U.S. addresses. Your information is processed in the United States and in other countries where our service providers operate.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy by posting a new version on this page with a new effective date. If a change materially affects how we use information we already hold, we will post a notice on the Site before it takes effect.
